    I Never Knew

A Med-Evac, was news to me as well, doubtful we're alone in not knowing Bryan.:) I thought it was some type of heavy lift till I saw the pilots seat up front. No doubt there are a lot that are now lost to history. Saw this on YouTube, shows some close up, what an interesting albeit weird design.

    lead lag dampners

That no two bladed systems use them is likely very telling as to their lack of benefit.

    Post count

Wonder what happened to all my post count, now shows 13, was hundreds? No problem really just curious.

    lead lag dampners

Thanks for the input, I did not think about the possibility of introducing ground resonance, key there would be to avoid it I guess. Would not add much additional complexity beyond that necessary for the rigid type lead lag adjustment using a similar design to that of Brantly helicopter. The...

    lead lag dampners

Hi all, Any reason why you do not see lead/lag dampners (not the rigid lead/lag adjustment) in two bladed systems. In my admittedly uneducated thinking it seems they would help balance out the total system.

    New Safari - Safari 500

I built a Helicom Commuter II in the early 70's, T/R drive shaft was a center-less ground shaft then, today they simply use a standard section of 4130 tubing, I have wondered if that may cause high frequency vibration. I have seen the pics with the lack of radius issue, should never had been an...

    New Safari - Safari 500

I like the Rotorway, but like the openness of the Helicom (in my case)/Safari style, nice for preflight inspections and general nosing around looking for any issues. The nay-sayers I'm familiar with, for legitimate reason or not seem to have a personal grudge going on. They all have and/or had...

    New Safari - Safari 500

I don't know of any current, even the Safari builders forum is silent, there are still a few older build logs that are interesting to look at. http://www.mykitlog.com/Rick

    New Safari - Safari 500

Barney, I've wondered the same thing, guess there just were not that many by comparison, used to watch Brian's progress with great interest but he has stopped posting on his build. There have been a number of accidents as well but more then anything I suspect mean spirited and/or nonconstructive...

    MH-1 accident Ohio - N32KS

I wish feeling bad and concerned for him changed things but it doesn't unfortiounatly, still it's a very sad thing he is going through.

    Dynamic rollover (almost)

Don't need to know you, have seen hundreds just like you, BTW, I guess that decision would be up to me how I perceive what you say. I would not be all proud of "When I want to be sarcastic I do have my way with words to do so." I'll stick to my first ideas on your use of the word "Sir". And You...
