    Rotary powered helicopter?

I have no doubts this has been discussed before, but my google-fu is weak and I'm in the field for a couple of weeks with my only means of internet being my phone... God bless technology. But had there ever been a "successful" home-built heli using the mazda rotary engine? Just a thought exercise.

Back again... Rotax 503 vs McCulloch

Mike, thanks for those pictures. Do you happen to know the owners of those aircraft? Ah, yes, I always meant to go by and meet the morrilton guys, but after I got back from round 2 I got married, and have since PCS'd to Germany... Unfortunately, I never got around to meeting the,. I really...

What are the pros/cons of these two engines, compared against one another, for an UL honeybee/hornet design?

Crowd Source: What would YOU say to a pilot that wants to self-train to fly??

Is it smart? No. Should it be illegal? No. It's the spirit of aviation. Teaching yourself to fly with no prior experience is not any less safe than designing your own aircraft with no prior experience.

    Belly streamlining

stan, you have (by far) the best-looking helicycle I have ever come across. You should seriously consider talking with the company owner to have him check out your streamlining projects (I know you have also met with Homer on a number of occasions, correct?) and see if something could be...

    AW95 ultralight

I don't really see how the AW95 could be considered a base line helicycle at all. Outside of the fact that they are both non-part 103 ultralight single-place helicopters. The driving gear/control system is the heart and soul of any helicopter. That said, the AW95 looks very interesting. I was...

Furia pdf homebuilt helicopter construction plans

I wonder how the ch-4 compares to the mosquito in flight characteristics? Hmmm... Edited to add: I've just stumbled on a site (redbackaviation) that details in-depth the development and evolution of Cicare Helicopters. Jincamty, the link in post #24 didn't say much about the differences...
