    First Coaxial Helicopter Flight

Look closely, he has a Bell/Hiller style stabiliser bar connected to the top rotor. Probably makes it rock solid stable. Nice machine though.

    Skeeter Jr.

Thanks Dennis. I'll first add and add more span weighs side by side, same with some chord weights, to see if I can correct the move line phase angle. After that, experimenting with some correction weights should do the trick. Thanks again, Francois.

    vortech? (not vortec)

Vortech is run by Joel Levin. Yes, he is a "seller" of anything rotorcraft. You get what you buy, so do your homework. Plans may be great, or no more than rough sketches, same with the crafts he re-sells. I visited him in Fallston back in the 90's to pick up some gear he sold me. I was shown...

    Skeeter Jr.

Thanks Bryan, overlooked that part of his message. I'll set up my accelerometer sensor in the same position but facing vertically, and set up the optical sensor to trigger with the "A" blade pointing towards the accelerometer sensor, this is then "0" phase angle. Cheers, F.

    Skeeter Jr.

Thanks Dennis, very much obliged. Could I please confirm I understand the tail rotor setup correctly. The accelerometer is mounted horizontally, so it's internal sensor is detecting fore-aft deflections. Looking at the position of the optical sensor, the sense position where the reflective...

Anyone know anything about the German Aircraft-Construct HX I helicopter plans?

I have an electronic copy set of very detailed helicopter design drawings called an HX I, cannot recall how I came about them. The plans are in German and English, the designer seems to be Aircraft-Construct. The mechanics seem to be designed well, extremely detailed drawings there, the body and...

    Skeeter Jr.

Decided to not off-load my project. I suppose when you in this deep, you might as well bite the financial bullet and see it through to the end. Bought a new tilt trailer, now I can transport my Skeeter Jr to a suitable ground testing area. Also bought a DynaVibe Classic dynamic balancer, now I...

Can anyone help? Is this a Mini 500?

There's a turbine in the mix, so that's worth a bit.

Can anyone help? Is this a Mini 500?

No, it's not an MH-1 at all. Luciano did his own thing. Although he has the original Mini-500 parts as well, he has put together an R-22/Mini-500 hybrid rotor system. Same with the TR system. Motor is a 130FI, not a 120 Carby.
