    Webber 750 engine

Thats interesting, I heard the same problem was happening here. We don't have many machine shops here. I was talking to a machinist last week and he told me they were cutting their night shift because they bought a new Haas 5 Axis machine and they could not find qualified machinist to run it it...

    Webber 750 engine

Hi Tony, It seems like I have not done anything in so long. I have had software issues with this machine since I got it to Louisiana. Too long a ride on bumby roads I guess, or its just getting real old. I have been at my mothers quite a bit and we have had wave after wave of thunder storms...

I hope to replace the floppy drive in the machine soon, then I can save the programs on a separate disc. When the software is not an issue, this is one sweet hunk of iron. A few more pictures ; This is the rough out piece that I cut on the Grizzly Mill, before I got this older American Made...

    Webber 750 engine

Thursday was my birthday, so this weekend, I went to the shop and started the Mill. I found out all of my programs were gone! I had to reload the Mill parameters and then start from scratch to write the programs again. The only one I was able to finish was the profile for the bell housing for...

    The making of Behemot

Gabbie I looked back a few of your post. There are some silver looking flat wheels in the background. If you are moving those around while you build, you probablly twisted the thing too tight, try teflon tape around your plug. Didnt twist too hard,..... next you be telling us you fly two hours...

    Weber with Autoflight box

yeal , pictures make me look a lot bigger than I am. Conversation is good, ha ha, see if he will give you a copy of the program and ask him what post processor his machine uses, He will know what you are talking about. The conversation, will generate his GCode.

Doug, The Bensen/Brock blades are flat, I think Mr. Beaty one said the Bensens lost their efficiency more from the Pumping action than the rivets or twist. I am trying to find that thread. One of the best threads ever posted on the fourm. Anyway, I am trying to understand the twist better. I do...

    KB3 Build

Bent Axles Bent Axles Clark, Would you expound on this. I saw some axles recently that were rolled, but there were slight differences in Kens Axle. Not enough that you could tell with out measuring, but slight differences. I think the bent axle helps with a hard landing as it seems to flex...

Richard and Mike Morgan, flew the runway at Magnolia. Mike has a 618 Dominator. I was filming it and I could not find Mike in the view finder, I glanced up and saw him barreling down straight on me at 100 + mph air speed. I apologize for the profanity in the video. it just slipped but Richard...

I am glad to hear it is going well with you. It was warm today, and I finally got that 4 cylinder motor finished up and stabbed today, One more project almost gone. I am cutting back for 2012 and will be doing more flying. Also I bought a cheap TV monitor from Best Buy and hooked it to the Mill...

    Unanticipated Joy!

Vance, I think you could compile your flight descriptions and pictures into a journal. It would be interesting reading for a lot of people. You take great pictures and have a flare for words.
