Mohawk Aero Celebrates 10th Anniversary 2022

I have never successfully insulted anyone into buying my services or products. That doesn't mean I have to slobber all over my customers, only that I don't go out of my way to cause friction. If I am dealing with a person who is rude to ME, I kill them with kindness. I separate business from...

Mohawk Aero Celebrates 10th Anniversary 2022

If the origin story can't be trusted, how can the product? Maybe the numbers in the data have been whitewashed. How do we know? By the way, many of you don't know this, but I invented the wheel. You're welcome.

    Getting it home

Not sure yet. We were up there a few weeks ago and got to fly in it with the Rotax 915is. Jim is testing a new engine this week and that will hopefully be the last piece of the puzzle.

    Runway encounter this morning

I'm not a doctor, but my professional opinion is: That's not good. Nope. Not good at all.

    Getting it home

For your flight planning, if you can, schedule an overnight at Hammond, LA. Great FBO. They gave me a ride to the local B&B, showed me where to get a good cigar, and pointed out The Steakhouse, where I had the best steak I've ever eaten to this day. When my M2 is ready to fly home from...

Axe Aircraft by Skyfly looks promising

I wasn't 100% sure it was a model, but you are spot on. Not seeing an actual human get into it and fly it was what made me suspicious. Nothing in the heading of the video is a lie, but it is misleading.

Axe Aircraft by Skyfly looks promising

Wanted to see if it was flying or just another CGI. Here's the YouTube video I found:

    Midair applicable to gyroplanes.

Both pilots were aware of each other. Both pilots claimed/assumed/demanded right of way. Neither pilot took any action to avoid a collision. Both pilots were dead wrong.

    Flying the M2

Mark Pilkington and I flew up to Scappoose and got a ride with Jim Vanek in the M2 prototype with the Rotax 915 engine. Felt like it had plenty of power to me, but Jim wants more. Video will follow.

I've NEVER been insulted into seeing another person's point of view. I am all for a civilized debate, but when it devolves? Not so much. Logic and reason should be the defining principle on this forum. At least, that was my hope.

Sportcopter 2-any have one built and flying? Reviews?

I am not a fan of hearsay. I've scheduled a call to Jim Vanek tomorrow to learn more. In his email back to me he said there are NO SCII orders pending and the above statement is not true. I have a deposit on the M2, so I'm more than a little interested to get to the bottom of this.

    Getting manufacturer answers via email.

If a business will ignore you before you buy their product, they will ignore you afterwards. Especially if there is a problem. You are absolutely right to be frustrated and wary.
