    This picture is exagerated alot. The low spots is where the metal streched more than the high spots. And that is what my first piece did. The second I heated more evenly and it came out smooth.

    Vance your right . The first real piece that I bent you could see where it was heated unevenly. You could see where the metal streched more in one place and not the other. The second piece I bent I took more care in heating more evenly and it turned out alot better.

    The sand that I used is sand blasting media so it's pretty fine as far as sand goes. But as I filled the tube I was tapping the tube to get the sand to settle in it all the way and have a compact fit. As I came round the die I had to bend alittle more than a 180 deg. Probably like a 183 to 185...

    Well today I went ahead and bent my new front fork. I still need to cut the ends to lenght and everything else. As you can see all I did was the bend.
