Air Command 447 flight test problem

No I purchased it in working condition. Guy I bought it from built and flew it extensively said he used to take off and land on the beach. Workmanship is really good the only thing I have changed is the carb setting to match my altitude. Sea level to 4800ft is a big change.

Air Command 447 flight test problem

I have a little over 40hrs with 3 different instructors and 3 different gyro's before I flew solo. The air command was the first I soloed in and to be honest never felt really comfortable flying it. It's a cool looking little gyro but to me even with horizontal stabilizer feels very unforgiving...

Air Command 447 flight test problem

So I have an air command 447 that has been converted to 582 23ft rotor. I'm at 4800 ft and only weigh 140 lbs at 30knots I am still in ground effect and its been a year or so since I flew the air command but if memory serves me correctly I never initiate a climb until at least 45 knots. Landing...

    Taildragger Pusher Concept

Reminder I only flew the pitbull a couple of times because it had some issues that I didn't feel comfortable with so I quit flying it. So my experience is limited. I have a kb2 and an air command and will say that the pitbull in flight felt extremely stable due the tractor design and it suprises...

    Taildragger Pusher Concept

The pitbull has no steering while taxiing you have to use rudder and throttle to steer which after getting used to I started to like lifting rear end is a good thing and if horizontal stabilizer is trimmed is pretty fun very similar feel to balancing on mains with tri gear.. Groundlooping is...

    Installing toe/heel brakes.

I've been looking into different manufacturers most components are made for fixed wing certified aircraft and cost is 5000-7000. I'm looking for options/ideas on how to put them on a light gyro like a kb2 on a budget. I was hoping to find info online but so far haven't found much. I know...

    Taildragger Pusher Concept

No, not familiar with it. It looks very similar to a little wing. I did fly a pitbull and like the tractor/ tail dragger but pitbull has some design flaws. Its in pieces stored away in the corner of my shop someday I want to pull it out and build it right. I think if you want a tail dragger gyro...

    Taildragger Pusher Concept

IMO If you want a taildragger by designing a pusher you are losing all of the advantages that go with it. I would stick with tractor design. Looking at the pictures you will be losing the stability that tail wheel tractors have. Also for off/rough field takeoffs and landings it doesn't look like...

I'm hoping the shipping company will contact me today. In the mean time I have a few questions. Does it have toe brakes? How many hours on the 582? How many hours on the airframe? Does it have oil injection? Can you lock the tailwheel? How does it handle rough field takeoffs? How many gal of...

I'm about 5'8" and 155lbs. How hard is it to learn to taxi and land with the tail wheel? Also how much are you currently asking. I would need to look into shipping costs I live in SE Oregon. Thanks Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
