  • I have an ELSA Dominator with a 100 hp Subaru engine. 25' Dragonwings, hydraulic prerotator AND a trailer. The gyro was built by Ernie Boyette of Rotor Flight Dynamics so you know it was built well. The gyro can be kept on the trailer, driven to the airport with the blades on, rolled off via the winch and go fly. 100 hp flys me great and I'm 230 lbs. 100 Soob flying you at 180 lbs would be really fantastic. An 18 gallon seat tank burning 5 gallons/hour gives a range better than most any other gyro out there.

I have 3 boys who are getting to the age where they are giving me the "why don't you fly something with 2 seats" guilt speech on a monthly basis. So, I'm considering selling. I've not been seriously thinking about it until I saw your post.

Just something to think about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDdtmxDCTXQ .

Good luck and Welcome to Gyros!

Hi. I've got a single place CLT Air Command that I'd be willing to part with. It's fully registered as a legal experimental. It's equipped with a Rotax 618cc engine with a 60" 3 blade Warp Drive propeller. It has a Wunderlick/Milton style pre rotator and swings 24' Dragon Wings. With the installed aux tanks it holds 13 gallons of fuel. I've been flying this gyro for years and need to make room for my 2 place project. I wasn't planning on letting it go until my next gyro is ready to fly, but if you're looking for a good machine, this one is definitely worth a look.

If you give me your e-mail address I can send you a few pictures and video's of it flying.

    Thanks,

    Jon
