  • RotorRambler,

If I remember correctly when I emailed Artur Trendak they had sent me a link to AirGyro. That site looks extemely fimilar... I will have to check the site out more.

I just ordered the first version of the book in your signature from Amazon a few days ago! I...

  • Good Evening Doug,

Thank you kindly for the well written and informative post! What you have stated makes a lot of sense and solidifies my current feeling that I should abondon this design concept completely. I thought it may have been a good starting point considering the machines I work...

    ChrisK,

The deal may or may not even happen but I always like to do my research prior to any purchasing decision. When I do such research I often times find modifications that I could add at a later date for improved performance. I do think that a turbo/EFI type setup would be on the exteme...

    ChrisK,

I may have the opportunity to purchase a 0 time Jabiru 2200 engine that is only a year or so old. If the deal was good enough I was going to consider it for a build... possibly FW but more than likely Gyro. That is what I was asking and to be honest I wondered why they were bashed...

  • Good Evening Steve_UK,

Thank you for posting these pictures of the Artur Trendak manufacturing facility! I have always liked the design of the Xenon and the helicopter like cabin layout. After visiting and touring their facility what are your thoughts on these Gyros? I really like the...

    Good Evening,

Thank you Loftus for the response and your friends experience with the Jabiru engine, I am curious how old these Jabiru engines were that had the crankshaft failure. I am also wondering if this issue has since been resolved with the Jabiru crankshaft or if these are issues...

    Smack,

Thank you kindly for the response and story about the Jabiru 2200 engine. This is certainly disheartening to say the least and I am curious how long ago this was? I am curious if the crank had issues dealing with the stress of long term off field landings in a Gyro. Compared...

    Jabiru 2200 in a Gyro?

I know this is not a popular choice by any means however was curious if anyone had experience with these engines? I would assume there may be some cooling issues using a Jabiru 2200 engine on a gyro however saw that Rotec sells a set of water-cooled heads for the Jabiru engines. I saw a video today...

    Vance,

I greatly appreciate yoir input and thoughts on the subject! It looks like it may not even be worth the hassle but I think they had something going here. I am curious if the designer is still around so I could pick his mind a little. Interesting though from what I read they were...

    HoneyBee G2 Design Flaws

I apologize in advance for bringing up an old topic that is probably sensitive as some builders never received the kits they paid for.
I am curious about what may have been the flaws with this design? I read they had issues with the ultralight version and ultimately had a fatal accident in one....

    Steve,

I greatly appreciate your assistance in helping me get in touch with Bill. I would love to get in touch with him again and I am curious if any of the Care Flight folks remember me. Granted this has been almost 20 years ago now... I remember Bill always joking that the pilot had...

    Steve,

I am blown away that you know Bill Hatton and I am estastic to know that you were able to meet the Care Flight team. I unfortunately lost touch with Bill when I moved and truly wish I could somehow catch up with him again. He was my neighbor in Englewood for many years and gave...

I was also interested in the D-motor LF26 for use in a Gyro. I believe that Fisher Flying products is now the North American distributor for the D-motors. I think the D-motor would be perfect for the Genesis G1 series Gyros and I would be extremely interested in this route if Nicholas pursued it....
