    He always had some innovative ideas; often on the gyroplane fringe !

Allowed us to run a bit more advance on the timing and the correct (not excess rich) fuel ratio for best power.     Ernie, I've been running straight-out-of-the-pump, ethanol-containing fuel in my Rotax 912 for 15 years. No issues.
    You're living the anti-ethanol lie; most (all?) of our engines will handle the 10% w/o an issue.
