over all shots would be good, the problem of the different oil in the Sprague is the PTO seals in the engine gear case if the seals there fail the heavy oil in the Sprague unit will contaminate the engine oil and coke the bearings in the hot section and grenade the engine without warning, and the original...

The unit he has went from turning a 300+ lbs of rotors in a OH-58 to a dinky Rotorway. I hope he reassembles it properly. All the units that had Unapproved Parts I found didn't have seal problems even with the wrong seals installed, The engines had been removed for other time related maintenance.

Come on you're not trying hard enough, seen and replaced plenty of Sprague units with the wrong seal installed - that unit should have no pressure in it just flow. ................................__________/)( .).(. )(\__________,,,<".<",,,____

What part of EXPERIMENTAL don't you understand? mike out the seal seat and shaft and order the seals.just document your work for the next guy. Even Form Sprague will sell you the elements with the right numbers.....McMaster Carr, Grangers, measure, inspect, install, a double lip seal should do. You'd...

it will fit any T 62 T 32 that uses the M1A1 gen set torque motor and control head. Might need to adjust the ratio in the input arm for the lower torque load . . .

I designed a manual back up for the T-62 T 32 incase of any governor system problems - Works very well on the Jet Exec, So well the owner likes the governor switched off unless it's a cross country flight. the fuel cut off solenoid is replaced by manual a ball valve or modified solenoid to normally...

As for the main rotor gear box might lower the TBO if it was designed for heavy gear lube, in example the Hughes 369 and 369 t/r gear boxes are the same the only difference was the lube. and TBOs. As the gear box it will show signs of stress (temperature, slivers chips) before failure and a coked up...

Mil-L-23699 turbine oil is normal, It was supplied by the main rotor gearbox. put a restrictor on the pressure line, the MGB pressure should be 35 psi with no restrictions in the return, also if the engine seals leak you will get contaminated engine oil. either change the oil supply to the Sprague...

1 remove and cap oil supply line (near chip detector plug fitting on front) and scavenge line (near the t/r output bearing fitting aft)

    2. remove the t/r shaft coupling to access the spline adapter bolt on end of spline shaft.

    3. remove the safety cotter pin and aft t/r output...
