Genesis--In the Beginning--Chapter 1

582 ay? For his skinny a$$? He'll out fly my Behemoth I fear...... Damn ya'll skinny butts....I don't like you.....:boink:

While I am waiting on the next shipment of parts....I have been taking off parts and disc sanding the straight edges...then random orbit sanding all sides and edges. I finish up chamfering the edges of each part just slightly...takes that 90 degree edge off so the powed coat and or paint will bond better on the corners. The parts just feel nicer with that sharp edge relieved.

Here are Johns cheek plates. The one picture with both in them shows the top one random orbit sanded....and the bottom one untouched.

Hey buddy, look'n good!

Thank you!!!

Dang I hate thieves!! Scam artist, they are good at marketing at least.

Why don't they just help some business sell a legitimate product!

Oh buddy, I have a confession to make...

I'm partially responsible for the delay of your build, so you should blame me.

With the storm damage to Nicolas's shop at the same time with so many order to be shipped I told Nicolas you and I could wait to ship ours and get Brian's and Gary's ready first! Sorry, that's business?

Hey, John.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I don't mind waiting my turn. Stan and Brian ordered before me....

Besides, I'm learning a lot from Stan's build thread, so keeping his parts flowing is also helping me.

Thanks, Gary

Thank you so much Gary!

Nicolas and my motto is the customer comes first! Besides it appears that Nicolas has done some overtime and is going to get it done anyway!

Thanks again Gary, rotorcraft people are so much cooler than most groups I've worked for!!!!

More parts to chew on

More parts to chew on

Nicolas sent me the new landing gear with suspension. We have steel going in here now. Excellent welding and big pictures and a dvd that will walk me through getting the frame on axles.

John is working with Nicolas on getting these Genesis kits into the USA more efficiently. John says that 5 kits are being planned to come into San Diego...including the rest of Johns Genesis that I am building. This should lower the cost of this gyros shipping per unit.

My goal is to get Johns Genesis built...and John flying his 40 hours off by Mentone.

Well that is good news! I like the look of it and there is more parts coming soon!

Thank you buddy!!!

If John is flying that Genesis before Mentone, he wont be leaving any foot prints on the ground for a month.

Your right about that. Although I've been warn that these things can ware you out.

We'll see with my energy level and every other new toy I've had I played with it form sunup until sundown.

I hope to do the same thing. I know I'm taking off work for a couple of mounts and have warned my clients!

I cannot wait Tony!!

I have been finding some extra time to work on the Genesis. The stairway I am working on is awaiting a big decision and I just had to stop. So I shifted gears the last several days and have been working on the new suspension that Nicolas has come out with. John wanted the latest greatest, so here it is so far.

The first picture shows a finished block of aluminum that had to be drilled two different sizes. One end holds the brake cable housing...and the small hole is for the cable itself. Lots of fun little fabrications , but as you can see the plans are large and easy to follow.

The landing gear tubing had to be cut and drilled.

So far there are a lot of little things to do with this kit that are easy, yet add up for the 51% build rule.

Looking good Stan as always :) Wow you are going to have this thing finished before I will finish mine damn it!

It sure looks good. I suspect it's much like love the one your with, but dang I do love the look of her!

Wait, John, to see her with clothes on.....she is like a woman.....
but it is better to see her naked first because you never know what is hidden under them...............

@Giorgos
Maybe that's it?

You know guys, once we have seen one woman naked...

We want to see them all naked!!!!!

You know guys, once we have seen one woman naked...

We want to see them all naked!!!!!

With fourteen pints of Guinness you want to see them all naked, however, sober, not them all...

I will ask Nicolas which girl he had in mind while he was designing it or if he made them in his own image after his likeness and let them have dominion with or without clothes.
