Tom wanted me to post that he will be in the hospital for the next few days, if you are trying to reach him in regard to aircraft certifications, seat tanks or prerotators, please leave him a message and he will get back to you as soon as he is able. He is suffering from blood poisoning/cellulitis. He's in good spirits, but his leg is inflamed and he needs to be hospitalized while he is being treated with antibiotics.

Let us all hope he gets better soon. Speedy recovery Tom

Nasty, nasty stuff. After my recent motorcycle accident I got cellulitis, but caught it early enough to handle it with antibiotics - two courses. Just about ruined my stomach.

Very common in older men, and can occur even though there is no open wound. The bad critters are already in us and ready to attack when weakened, particularly in us older guys. If you develop a lot of visible redness around the area of an injury, get in and get it checked out right away. It will generally be hot to the touch as well.

It spreads quickly to the rest of the body and organs.

I'll be praying Tom. Get well soon.

PS: Cellulitis can also occur without a major injury. Older people need to keep a look out for it, and act quickly. I understand it is most usually a staph infection.

Get well TOM,
although I do not know Tom that well,I remember at Bensen Days in 91 or 92 my water pump on my 532 was leaking and he stepped up and showed me a shortcut to replacing the shaft without half the work that is in the manual, a righteous person.Good luck Tom
