The truth about Obama

Boy reading some of your facts, it's hard to see the actual truth in them at all. Talk about lying with statistics? No wonder so many confused and still clinging to old policies and ideas.

And some of you really need to check how long the congress has been controlled by the democrats without any of the changes the Dem’s want even being offered or passed to be vetoed by the president in 8 years.

More than ½ of the Dem’s are too smart to vote for old and tired failed socialistic policies Obama is offering and actually believes in. There are still people who believe in communism too now dump can you get?

Once the majority discovers it can vote itself favors and succumbs to the desire for a free lunch it will destroy our country!!

Here’s an email I received that will at least make you think a little about the free ride offers!

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;

2. From spiritual faith to great courage;

3. From courage to liberty;

4. From liberty to abundance;

5. From abundance to complacency;

6. From complacency to apathy;

7. From apathy to dependence;

8. From dependence back into bondage;

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by:
Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare... Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the complacency and apathy phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the governmental dependency phase.

I'm disappointed in you John.

First, that you copy and pasted stuff that was already posted, and second that you can't seem to be bothered by fact checking. Repeating baloney e-mails is no way to have a discussion, and your posts, more than any others, are simply cut and pasting of inaccurate drivel that finds it's way past your obviously ineffective spam filter.

Keep drinking the Koolaid John.

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Democrats: 13.2 (killed by Republicans)
Republicans: 2.1 (shooting the naked guy that jumped from your bedroom window) :D
Two Dogs Of War sniffing each other´s butt (scary)
So .. .some of you here want more of Bush´s policy, uh?
Where did the money go on Depression era?
Where is the money going now?
I know for a fact that most immigrants that invested in the bubble left behind their hard earned savings and went home broke.
Millions already left . . .good for some of you, less immigrants . . .
Follow the money . . .

John I’m not surprised by your response. But who is drinking the kook aid here?
Can you defend socialism’s? How can anyone with all the examples of countries changing to capitalism and seeing how they prosper still be that naive?
What socialists’ country do you admire and wish to follow down the road to despair for all the rest of us?

John, Can you defend Fascism? With all the worlds history of Fascism and Fascist governments how can you subscribe to it? Can you not see all the destruction it has caused? How Can YOU Be So Naive???

Capitalism

Capitalism

John,
Most of the European countries are capitalistic, most practice socialism, most have a higher rate of living standards then us, check out Norway for example. A lot more equitable distribution of wealth.

Scott,
because 5% of the population control 95% of the wealth of this country and it's getting worse-your slice of the pie is less today then what it was 25 years ago- thats why Scott

My onion John; is that to describe our current government as Fascism is delusional!

Charles Barkley recently said: For 50 years poor people have been voting for Democrats, and they're still poor.

Why is "distribution of wealth" a good thing Jay?

Hey Scott, let it go........
The rest of us know what you mean!
I swear. Whoever sold the idea that this is a zero-sum game really did a number on the liberals. They use it like a drug addict uses drugs. Pitiful....

Wealth only comes about from someone's ability to say "No" to other people sharing in the resources that they can hog for themselves, and this includes the time and effort of other individuals. Unfortunately this is ingrained as 'property rights' in our western legal system such that the 'legal' theft of someone's assets or time by another is enforced by our chosen government and its police force. To quote Don Parnham [?], 'Laws are wishes written on a piece of paper', and as he said, equally useless unless their is someone willing to enforce them. The misfortune for us all is that the democratic / capitalist system allows through manipulation of weak, unprincipled politicians who can be installed, bribed or coerced into illegally granting rights and rendering benefits to those who already have too much, such examples as Bill Gates, Don Trump, etc, under the guise of 'Business', or, equally worse 'Proctectionism' per the VAWA the likes of Sen Joe Biden. So, we have yet to work out the greatest inequitor is the government which allows the concentration of so many assets into the hands of so few. There would be no property barons if it were recognised that these property barons were not able to get where they are without screwing a sh-t load of people to get where they are, eg, Mr Robert Kyosaki[?] who makes profit from buying houses rendered into escrow and then selling them on to the next mortgage victim. If it were such that every major company were forced to pay dividends in equal share to all its employees then I am sure there would not be the likes of such people as Bill Gates, who after all would not be as wealthy as he is except for the efforts of all his employees and his rights to say 'no' to you not buying his operating system for $10.00 instead of around $120, how much does your employer profit from you? The likes of Obama and McCain are there at the behest of the mega rich, who install these people to make sure their rights to call on the police and lock you up are enshrined against you, the common man or the unfortunates as I call you, and indeed myself. These politicians are bankrolled into place against the common good, and the whole duopoly of power between Democrat & Republican / Labor & Liberal / Tories & Labor in our various western nations is just a swinging good guy - bad guy act to keep the charade going. The mystery of it is that we buy it at every election, don't we? If you read the CEC article you may come to understand the concept of the Post Turtle, in this event, all three of them.

Did you know you pay 100% tax?

Cheers,

Nic.

Why is it that whoever doesn't swallow the fox news pablum, suddenly a liberal or a socialist?

We really need to check our facts here! Last time I did a greater percentage of Americans owned their own home than many other nation and our poor would be considered middle class in most of these countries?

I had no clue there was even a debate regarding socialization, no wonder Obama can still try and sell this crap!

Why would anyone strive as hard to create the next great invention working 20 hours 7 days a week when the profits of your labor goes to the lazy? Socialism kills hard work and discourages hard workers from even trying!

Wealth is like knowledge it’s powerful only if you use it. Most use it to invest which is what creates the businesses and jobs that employ most of us. Take the money away from them and give it to those that just spend it and what do you create?
Fewer jobs and more dependency!

Why is it that whoever doesn't swallow the fox news pablum, suddenly a liberal or a socialist?
Yet the majority wants to hear both sides John!!!
That's why Fox news just keeps growing and the liberal news keeps losing there market share! We know there onions for 50 years now if they would copy Fox and put two experts on from both sides and let us decide they too would grow!
Your way out of touch with the majority John you might want to at least consider trying to understand the other side? Fox news could really help you with that!

A point exactly, who knows what the truth is. But going back to some of the examples of sharing profit. I was in business for twenty five years, had quite a number of employee's, and did fairly well for myself. I retired when I was forty eight years old. During those years when I had a high profiitability, I gave some fairly sizable bonuses.
But there were about three years where I made no money, or lost money. And you know what? Never once did any of these employees offer to take a wage reduction, but instead were standing in line wanting their bonuses. Go figure.
