Went to El Mirage to get things ready for the flyin, took the gyro out for some pre flyin fun and they were having there SCTA races, probably over 1000 people on the lake, so there was alot of people to wave at. Gyro cove is in good shape, there are some skidmarks but they are where we park. I got some pic's. Less than 2 weeks, can't wait.

Dave,
Thanks for the update on the lake bed condition. Glad you didn't add to the "dents" in the dirt. Hope to see you soon.

The pictures look good Dave. Time is getting close and I am looking forward to the trip and the flying with everyone. That looks like a ideal area to fly in as flat and wide open as it is.

What was the weather like?

Thanks Dave for the report!

PS:
I'm back in SD.

Scott- see you there

Mark- it is a great place to fly, you can stay in ground effect for miles.

John- it was 56 when I got there at 7-30, by 4 it was 102. It was a rare day, not more than 5 KNT wind, I was hopping for more. ps, congrat's on your new grandson.
