Hi MonkeyClaw - So is Abid going to make you a new front wheel assembly to accept a larger front tire? In the other thread, I think Jungleman provided a recommendation on tire sizes too. I think larger tires for some flat airstrip landings on nice surfaces would be great. May also have to add a protector for the prop under the tail boom.

No suspension on the Magni front wheel, except having that balloon of a tire, of course.
But we already talked about keeping the front wheel out of the holes and bumps.
 
The Predators main gear is suspended and the nose gear also has suspension.

Most modern gyroplanes have some sort suspension all around.

In my opinion you should not fly any aircraft without knowing where the center of gravity.

By observation suggests a gyroplane typically has a larger CG envelope than a fixed wing of similar weight.

Your questions should have been answered in the first few hours of gyroplane instruction.

I feel you would likely find value in some additional flight instruction in a gyroplane because it is easier to demonstrate than explain.
Always find value in more training.

Yes, the front tire will be larger, along with bigger removable wheel fairings all around (from what I understand). We will also fashion a protector similar to what is shown, unless he already has something. I am still finishing off the order form and chatting with him re timing and suggested set-up.

We already have something. Yes new front fork. A welded one as opposed to current billet Aluminum one. The gyro will sit a little higher and I will likely offer a step in for getting in but not that big long side skid. I don't like its looks too much.
I have been assigned the task of doing an Agro configuration of AR-1 so there will be shared elements between AR-1 Outback and Agro.

If someone knows a US company that makes spray systems for light aircraft please let me know. I only know of a UK company (as used by Magni etc.) and a Ukrainian company that my friend Sergey used to use with his Antares trikes. I would like to use a US supplier if practical.

No one seems to have mentioned hothead high likelihood of damaging your prop from gravel kicked up by the tires.
 
Ventana - if you look at the blue gyro above, Jungleman added a flap behind the front tire which I believe he pulls up via a cord after take off to prevent gravel kick up into the prop.
 
I would expect any gravel thrown up by the front wheel to hit the fuselage and deflect downward, without much thus getting to the prop. The mains would concern me much more in that configuration; they are also going to be in contact with the surface for a much longer time.

In an ordinary M16, the mains have wheel spats, but the nose wheel does not.
 
Look at Joe Pries (spelling) two place Aviomania. He added the most excellent mud flaps behind the mains tires.
He said they work very well.
Can anyone with more time search the forum... He posted a picture of his ride here.
It is a RED two-place G2 model 1 Aviomania with flames on the nose.

That’s where you use Warp Drive without nickel leading edge
 
Why w/out the NLE?

Even Warp Drive owner will tell you to skip NLE unless you fly off of water. The main advantage of a solid matrix Warp drive blade is ability to rather quickly fix it in the field by the end user using glue and baking soda and a flat black paint. You lose that with NLE.

There was a post on the forum years ago...
The owner of a certified helicopter paid big bucks for flames done by a famous virtual flame hot-rod painter.
He called and got permission to land at his favorite restaurant.
He circled the restaurant several times before he landed in a grassy area.
Only to be met by the police and fire department showing up before he could even exit the aircraft.


Appears the flames were too real looking for a neighbor of the restaurant reporting a helicopter on fire and forced to land.

I was told just to peel off the tape, fix the ding, and put the new tape back on. Is it hard to peel off and replace?
