Recently visited the Niki Rotor Aviation factory in Bulgaria to put together my 51% Kallithea. It was a fantastic experience all around. The factory is world class, the design of the gyro speak for itself, and the customer service and attention given to you by the crew is second to none.

Niki even took me on training flights on two of his trainer machines:
- a 915 equipped Kallithea - the same machine that was used as a 915 testing platform when few years ago Rotax wanted some field usage data.
- a Kallithea equipped with a modified 912 with in-house designed turbo unit

The field elevation was 2000 feet and it was a very hot and humid day. Neither of the machines had any problem taking Niki and me in the air, but, of course, the 915 was something to be admired...

Stay tuned for more news about the awesome Kallithea... and the space ship looking Lightning...

Very nice. Been following these guys for a while and impressed with what they're doing. I imagine that factory has hosted quite a few brainstorming sessions.

Are you going to be putting this together as a EAB kit?
Yes, it is almost done...

I am working closely with Niki to establish a Built Assist Program for the US clients. Things are very well arranged with a world class resort near by, English speaking personnel to assist, etc.

Additionally if the buyer would like me to, I can be present as well, just pay for my ticket and hotel. I speak Bulgarian, so that is something that really helps me get the most of my visit.

It was very nice to see the high level of professionalism at the factory, after I was charmed by the design of the gyro itself. On top of that Niki's passion for designing flying machines is contagious - you just have to be excited listening to his stories and plans for future designs...
