Barry Mounts upside-down?

The nice thing I've heard on this forum is that LP will re-work the prop you purchase from him if you aren't satisfied w/ it's initial performance, trying to get it right.
 
Thank you Kevin. That gives me a target to aim for when sizing these, plus a little for safety... say 300 lbs. That would make the radial loading 75 lbs. for each of the 4 isolators. Looking at the manufacturer's chart in post #15 it seems 60 lbs. is the max for this series (22001) of mount. Will be researching other options tonight. Thanks again for the info.

Man I'll never live that down! But I've gotten on with my life since their passing and we even got a new beluga pup. It was from a pet adoption place and those sad eyes got to me. She's a slobber-whale though so we're constantly wiping up.
 
Brian, I have run the 22001-13 to 17 and never had a problem with 503's or 582's these are very common on all rotax motor mounts except the 912 types.
RFD is the only one that used a different mount and they made their own.

That puts my mind a little more at ease. Perhaps I'm over-thinking this, but it did allow me to explore a simple solution if it was deemed necessary. I surveyed the ship and it turns out there is clear space to accommodate a 3'rd isolator at the midpoint between the existing outer two on each pair of plates. The thinking was to use hard elastomer in the middle and softer elastomer on the outer ones to facilitate more counter-rotation vibration with power pulses working equal and opposite of prop. Since the middle isolator would be centered on the thrust line the harder elastomer wouldn't impede this "radial pulse" vibration, but it would add to the cumulative total load rating of the mounting system as a whole.

It's just an idea that kind of made sense if looking purely at the manufacturer's numbers. It brings the 6 isolator's cumulative radial load rating to 280 lbs. But again, if it's overkill and not really necessary then I will forego this train of thought.
