Gyro safety meeting and formation flying briefing

Today there was a gyro safety briefing at T74, Taylor Texas, hosted by gyro CFI Scott Thomas and gyro CFI/DPE Dayton Dabbs. The event was well attended and the presentations highlighted training and equipment issues prominent in the gyro accident data. The weather did not cooperate with the formation flying portion, but the principles were briefed and the attendees all agreed that it was a worthwhile endeavor. The pilots/owners represented several different manufacturers and had similar experiences when transitioning from one gyro to another. Well done guys. Ray

There may be another in the future. Contact Scott or Dayton at Lone Star Magni Gyro about future plans. The AR-1 dealers from Burnet were there also. The possibility of a future formation flying clinic is out there also.
