Some of you may remember a few weeks back Lucia Air popped up as the new agents for the Apollo AG-1, based over in California - news on their website mentioned two machines had been imported.

Well seems the first one has now aspired to an "N" reg - N15LU - just registered.

I can see that "N25LU" is also reserved to the same people but not yet registered.

No Title

Update on the situation in the UK, as of May 2017. Scraped all data from G-INFO and used MyMaps to geocode the ownership locations.

For the first time, used "Total Hours _ at _" data from CAA to produce a very good estimate of annual hours on modern gyros in the UK.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1g-...Vg&usp=sharing

Overall Annual Hours
Average: 83.3 hours
Median: 52.1 hours

[The average is pulled up by a small number of high-hour owners, mostly FIs. The median is a better estimate of the ordinary private owner-flyer]

Went for a ride in the new MTOSPORT 2017 recently.

Pre-rotates to 320 rpm and takes off in just 5 metres [it's own length, basically!]
Will post a video sometime. Till then here's a pic at HalfPenny Green, near Wolverhampton UK.
The PIC, Gerry Speich - also the MD of Rotorsport UK - had just flown the machine in all the way from Germany. ..

That's an impressive kind of map you have put together! Wish we had this kind of data for more countries.

It seems like they put the manufacturer as Halley Kft, the factory in Hungary and have not gotten the airworthiness yet. I am afraid they do not understand the US system and will not be able to get Amateur Built status but perhaps after some effort, Exhibition status. They cannot bring them in built from the factory. They still have not gotten that figured out.
