Ed and I are flying to Santa Paula on Saturday when the fog lifts and will spend Saturday night in the haunted brothel and fly back Sunday afternoon.
Santa Paula on open hanger day is always a lot of fun.
Hope to see some of you there.
It will be our last big adventure before the installation of the IO-320 begins on the weekend of the 11th and the Predator will be down for a while.

Rotax 582 Midrange Problem |

Got a Rotax 582 DCDI that will not run above 3000-3200 rpm. Engine ran fine when I got it except the carbs were put together wrong. The needle clip was inside the plastic cup. When I put it under the cup, with the clip in the #3 position, it will only run up to about 3000 rpm and then bog down. Airscrew is out 1 turn and idle mixture about 3/4 turn. It idles and runs up to that RPM smoothly.
I moved the needle clip to the #4 position and got about another 100-200 rpm.
