Default Mentone???

I have been looking forward to finally getting four full days at Mentone THIS year.

Dad called me today to take him to the emergency room. He was in very bad shape tonight awaiting a possible bowel operation. We wont know if or when...but if he doesnt get better quick...it will be within 2 days.

So.......Mentone is in question as I will just have to see how dad comes through this ordeal.

Hope to see you all there because that would mean that my dad is doing much better.

It was so scary seeing such a stout robust guy all his 85 years laying on his back in pain and agony.

Time will tell how this plays out.

Stan

Stan, I wish the best for your Dad & hope a speedy recovery. I found out today that I won`t be flying the Twinstarr to Mentone. The good thing is we all have to live day to day with the hope that we can somehow survive all the stuff that comes our way in our every day life. Tomorrow is another day & it does not mean we won`t meet again. I will be flying in to Mentone in a fixed wing this year & hope to see you there.

Stan, I'll be praying for him. I know how you feel my dad has been in and out of the hospital for the last 3 years having had a stroke and several heart attacks.

Stan I hope everything works out with your dad!

If I were superstitious I would be thinking this time of year is some how cursed for you!

Stan,

Hope all goes well with your father. His health is the important thing. Mentone will still be around next year. Hopefully your father will, too.

Again, keep us posted.

Thanks everyone....Just a snap shot of dads health today. He is much better...but still may need an operation. They are giving him some time before they do anything.

Stan,

Family is the most important thing. Take care of your dad. If I miss you at Mentone I'll be disappointed. But I understand.

My prayers to your dad and family.

Dad is improving but still has a chance of an operation. It looks more than likely that he will not need one. Another day should tell.

Default Story of my life.

Stan,

I swear, if it is not one thing its another. Seems like the cosmos loves to laugh at us. I hate to make plans because they always get a wrench thrown in the works. Sometimes its best to go last min so they dont have time to mess you up.
