Okay so it is a model, not the real thing..... Still interested?
I am offering for sale a Remote controlled electric helicopter. This one is by E-Flite and it is called the Blade. It has a main rotor motor and then the tailrotor is powered by another motor. The radio reciever for the helicopter has a built in speed controller for both motors. The radio reciever also has a gyro built in which makes the heli very stable in yaw. Both the gyro gain and the main-tail rotor mix is adjustable. The transmitter and reciever is a 6 channel heli radio with a trainer function and a idle up switch. The heli uses CCP to control the swashplate and also collective pitch for the rotorblades. CCP means there is 3 servos to control not only forwards and reverse, and side to side tilt for directional control, but all 3 work together to raise or lower the entire swashplate to control the pitch of the blades. E-flite sells a upgrade package that includes a heatsink for the main motor - I already got that on mine - and a heatsink for the tailrotor motor, and different blades with a symetrical airfoil... using the idle up switch and this upgrade package you can fly inverted and do aerobatics with it. I am selling the helicopter, with radio, battery, charger, and all the spare parts I got for it - several landing skid sets... spare rotors... flybars.... tailrotors... tailrotor motors.... etc... - plus instructions and training skids that make it quite hard to tip over. I want 150$ for it plus shipping. New this is about 275-300$ worth of stuff with the spare parts I got for it. It flys very easy, and is not hard to control. It is quite sturdy as well, most crashes don't hurt anything. But most hobby shops - at least the ones around here - have in stock all the parts to fix whatever you break. Parts for it are cheap too, main rotorblades are like 15 bucks... links are a buck or two.... Skids or tailrotors are a few bucks for a set... So even if you crash it up pretty bad, you can either get parts at your local hobby shop or order them online to fix it and have it back in the air for well under 20 bucks. I started out with a GWS dragonfly and it is so light and small it is hard to control if your flying it outside and there is any wind at all. I was going to buy a much more expensive helicopter after selling the dragonfly, but thought this would be a good step in between to learn with, and then once I go the hang of flying a helicopter I would then upgrade to a high performance helicopter. This is what I am doing now. I don't have any pictures of it handy but can take one if you want to see it. I will be bringing it with me to ROC to fly, so if you are going and want it, bring me 150 bucks and it is yours.

Ron,
I would be interested in your helicopter. I am looking for a new toy, the only problem is I am in Iraq right now and won't be back until the first week in November. Let me know if you can wait or not. Thanks Gary |

Ron, are you going with electric, or glow with the new chopper? I've been looking at the T-rex. It's electric with full aerobatic capabilities. And it has a butt load of upgrades. My coaxial Lama has been the most fun rc thing I've ever owned, but I'm wanting to fly outside now, and it's way to light even in the slightest breeze. I also have a sturdy bird plane that is fun to fly, but a lot of work hauling all the stuff to the field to fly. For me electrics are the way to go.

Electric. It is a Shogun with a few upgrades such as brushless motor etc.... just bought a Computer radio for it.... Etc... etc.... will have about 750$ into it by the time it leaves the ground.
Makes the Blade at 150 bucks a hell of a deal. Matter of fact there is a slew of upgrades for the blade as well, everything under the sun if you want to spend the money on it. Folks I don't know if I mentioned it, but the radio with the blade is a 6 channel radio and it can be used in many other airplanes and helicopters..... The radio by itself is worth the asking price.

Yes Sir, spent a few hours today - while out running errands - trying to find a box to ship it in. Both pack and ship places wanted over 40 bucks to ship and the bulk of that was for the box! I got a box from the hobby shop tonight that the helicopter ships in from the manufactor, so that will go to the pack and ship place tomorrow and you should see the chopper in a few days to a week.
