Default using back browser button

Does anyone have a problem using the back browser button when coming back out of a thread? I just have noticed since we moved to a new server. I hit the back button to go back to the main page and I get a error messsage that the page has timed out so I hit the refresh button and then it will come back.

I dont know if it is computer or something in the new server.

thanks

Mike

Hey Mike,

It seems to work fine for me.

Mike,

I'm not sure about a Mac, but if you're using a windows machine occasionally this will help:

1. With your browser open, on the menu bar click "tools" then "internet options".
2. Click the button to "delete temporary internet files"
3. Click the button to clear your history.
4. Close your browser window then re-open.

Occasionally this will help by just cleaning out your overly full cache of temporary internet files.

Good Luck

Yes, I have been having that problem, too. I'm running WindowsXP but that worked fine on the other server. Since this started, I just go the 'tree' above the post and 'click' the folder I want... that seems to work all the time.

Yes I have XP too and have also found the tree as the only source to go back on .

I clean cookies and temp files on a regular basis here.

Mike

Guess it is one of those thing I can live with.
Just glad to be here.

I usually open a topic by right-clicking on it, and opening it in a new window. When I'm finished, I just close the window and don't have to wait for the previous page to reload.

I'm using Mozilla Firebird in Windows 2000. When I go back from a thread, it's no problem, but when I go back from a topic to the main forum page, a little box pops up saying something about form information has expired from the cache. I just hit "OK" and everything works fine. After posting, of course, I can't use "Back", so I click on the tree.
