mac 90 question

is there a way to know if you have a cage bearing type engine by checking the motor tag info? also why do people dis like them ? thanks taint.

4318-A is a 72hp and the 4318-G is a 90hp version.
If you look into the exhaust port and see three (3) cross-members it is a 72hp cylinder; if you see one (1) cross-member it is a 90hp cylinder.

Without pulling a cylinder off, I do not know of a way to tell which bearings you have.
