Was told possibly but I have not had time to find out for sure.
I know that this is the type of redrive that Steve M. flies on the Black.

I have a buyer already who wants it for an EA81 so......
Thanks for your interest Mike.

Default Ross re-drive parts list

I, also, have a Ross re-drive and would like to obtain a parts list for future repairs. It is my understanding that Mr. Ross built the drive using easily obtainable parts such as some parts out of a Ford C-6 transmission and others from some GM products.

Right now I am needing a replacement front oil seal, and while I can probably get one by using dimensions, it would be nice to know the exact part number.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Exclamation Another Ross Aero Redrive

I'm in contact with a fellow in Las Vegas that has one of these Ross Aero Redrives for sale. It looks slightly different from the one on post #1 in that it was extended approximately 6"-7" by the Ross family to accomodate a center-of-gravity situation in an airplane.

It has been run 30 minutes to test it and the prop it had on a Subaru EA-81. The owner traded planes with a friend that wanted his airplane badly, but not the Subaru and redrive and prop.

Then, another fellow bought his Subaru engine, but didn't want the redrive and prop.

Now, I'm buying the prop, but am not wanting the redrive, since I already have two new ones (AutoFlights) and a couple of used Rotax ones.

I told him that there might be someone here on the rotary forum interested in his Ross Aero Redrive.

He is wanting somewhere around $1,900 for it. He bought it new, and put the 30 minutes on it, tested on the ground in his backyard.

Anyone?

Kevin... what is the ratio redrive?? I'm needing a 2.85 or even a 3.01/1 for a tractor configuration.

He says it is either a 2.23:1 or 2.25:1, counting the revolution around making it difficult to name one over the other.

Are you using another Mazda rotary engine on your new gyro, Gary?
