Yes Stan,

I have BASHED a person's radio controlled aircraft who let me fly it. I accepted the risk.

When I crashed Ken Cagle's Hots, I felt bad. I built him another using my $.

I took my Sport CFI checkride in Bill Malpass' Kitfox III without compensating him at all. I'd hate to think what would have happened if I had pranged or destroyed it.

I have a feeling that if the Green Monster had gotten balled up while you were at the helm...you and John would have been in a fist-fight.

If I had wrecked Bill's Kitfox, I would have paid entirely for it to be fixed or replaced, even if it would have required a 2nd mortgage to do it.

THE RISKS ARE ASTRONOMICAL.

Bryan- That awful low of you stating what you think I would do. Thanks for your confidence in my integrity.

No more comments back to you in this tone of talk. Go ahead and say what else I wouldnt do since you know me so well.

Stan

Bryan,

Just so you know, I did not ask to fly the machine. John hovered it for a few minutes and left it running and told me to get in it.

By now, most people here know I will not turn down a challenge, so I hopped in it. I did not do very good in it, so I cut my flight short and thanked him. He is out to prove the machine is worthy and I think he proved just that when a pilot (no rotorcraft rating) with 7 hours of flying experience in the last 10 years and 80 hours total in helicopters can pick the machine up successfully. Had the conditions been better (not within 20 ft of hard objects) I would have had no problem flying this great little machine around. The visibility is awesome and the little engine is quiet and smooth.

The internet does not show expression, so you just have to be a little more careful on what you post I suppose.

I wish John well with this machine. If I did not own a Helicycle I would buy one.

I am obviously new here and have only followed for about a year but some of you guys have no sense of humor. Someone cracks a joke and your ***** starts crying. No wonder a lot of gyro pilots stay off this forum. It's filled with egos, hate, and a little bit of information, if you can filter through all the bullsh**.

Oh, the administrator needs to add a spell check option, because half of you CANNOT spell.

You can say what you want about what I asked them to do. Everone had there opinion and I also respect your as well. I asked them to try it out for other reasons you are not aware of. Back when I started this project two and a half years ago, Stan had just received his airframe only and mine was just flown a couple times. I was invited to attend Benson days from Stan and Gabor. I told them both and one other person as well whose name I don’t remember at this time a chance at the controls. I told them I wanted them to at least hover it and if the were rated like Gabor they could take to the pattern if they felt comfortable and comfortable only. I was not able to make the event and many others due to all the bad things that were happening. This last week I made sure what I had promised them would finally happen. When I tell someone I’m going to do something, I stick to it unless it’s something that could cause someone to get hurt or even worse. In this case this was all on me and no one else. This was to promote the MH-1 and to show others the potential that these upgrades can do to make the old Mini fly safely. Bryan as far as Stan’s Helicycle goes; it already speaks for its self hands down. Last I looked he won the trophy and I couldn’t be more proud of my brother from another mother. It was well earned and I’m proud to be part of him and his adventures. I can hardly wait to do it all over again. Just wanted to clear my head here..

John

Thanks John,

Sounds like you and Stan are on the same sheet of music. If that's the case then I will quit my razzin' about it being a one way affair!

John I am glad you made a successful debut with the Green Beast. Sounded really good and looked as if you had made the necessary work to make it a safe machine. Good for you. I really wish I could have had my dirty hands on the controls for a little while as I am always interested in new flying experiences. I know life is going to be kind enough to me to get that chance soon! You are a good man and I do have a lot of respect for what you had to go through to get where you are. Thanks for all that you do and I wish you the best of luck with your endeavor where ever it might take you. You'll do just fine!

John H. .... I am one of your fans. Thanks. So far I Like the way your machine flies.

Dennis F. .... If you could accommodate others who build upon your accomplishments you would flooded one more time. It might surprise you the kind of flood you would receive.

Natural born inventors , innovators , and brilliant thinkers .... are by nature arrogant , narcissistic ... and usually refuse to let anybody tell them what to do. Stubborn bunch of buggggers , yes they are.

That is their nature. Always been that way. Engineers too.

I have heard mostly good things things about Igor Sikorsky

I have heard mostly good things things about Juan Ciervo

I have heard mostly good things things about Lawrence Bell

I have heard mostly good things things about Stanley Hiller

I have heard mostly good things things about Ken Brock

I have heard mostly good things things about Arthur Young

I have heard mostly good things things about B.J. Schramm

How about Igor Bensen ?

do I have to type out all the names of hundreds of guy's ??

my fingers are getting tired.

History has been kind to our pioneers. The editors had the luxury of time . We do not. Old school editors picked out the good and discarded the rest.

When smart narcissistic and arrogant inventors quit trying to defend themselves .... it allows the rest of us to do so.

Thanks for you input Arnie, but I wish that you would have read the other posts and learned the facts. I DID try and accommodate John and his Millennium helicopter business, and what I got in return was SCREWED. I simply took back what was mine. And, by his own agreeing in the settlement, I will not allow him to sell what is not his. When John called me on the phone begging for me to settle the lawsuit, I accommodated him there too.

As for accommodating others, I can't count how may emails and posts I answer whenever someone needs my help, but you wouldn't know that.

I need to be fair to John and when the video of me hovering his MH1 is watched...I am not used to not having a governor. The first set downs were simply the engine powering down because I was not rolling on any more thottle. It was a very hot and humid day and I am a big turd in any seat!

I could see John twisting his left hand telling me to do the same. The third and following lift offs were anemic applications of the throttle.....so I never really gave it a good test. However....John is going to lower the ratio to get the Yamaha up on the horsepower curve.

So, most of the setdowns probably would have not occured had I rolled on the throttle more aggressively and sooner. I only have minimal throttle experience while training in the R22 where it is required....and also on my check ride. Since then its all been a governor helping me fly.
