Default GYRO BEE for Sale

A member of Chapter 20 has his gyrobee for sale. He said it has 13 hours on the gyro with a new Rotax 447, electric start, and prerotor. He also has a Fisher 303 ultralight not finished. You can see the wings hanging on the wall to the right of the gyro. Robert is selling due to health reasons. I don't know price but if any one is interested email me and I will look up his email or go to chapter 20 members list.

Mark,

Sorry to hear that your friend is not well. It must be awful to have to give up flying.

It looks like he did a good job on his 'Bee, and it should make somebody a nice machine. It would be good to see more pictures and hear what he is asking for it.

Alan

If there are any pictures of it outside or flying, I would love to include him on the COMPLETIONS list. There are lots of 'Bees flying out there that have not been suitably recognized.

Ralph and Ron , I am sorry I did not respond to your early post. I did not see them for some reason. I had a few problems with my computer a while back maybe that is why. I normaly receive emails on post. Maybe it just anothor one of those senior moments I seem to have. Ron Im sorry the Gyro Sold today, I had to look up this thread to to post. GYROBEE IS SOLD!!!! Ralph , Robert took many pictures of it flying, they will have to be scanned because they are not digital or I would have posted some. His report on the first flight was he was taxing and it lifted up at 20 to 25 mph. He said he just flew it around just like a plane. He had watched Ken Brocks video, and had prior fixed wing experience. He said if he gets to feeling any better he would build another Bee. He said "that is one sweet flying machine". I have another friend who just purchase a package from Star Bee and he was looking at buying Roberts machine instead of building his. Too Late now. The Bee certainly seems to be the ticket for begining rotorheads.

Thanks Mark. I'm getting the KB-2 that was listed last week and it doesn't have a HS so I'd like to add one to it.

I don't care for that jogged tail tube AT ALL. The 'Bee tail tube is very lightly braced and should not be modified in this way without additional reinforcement upstream, IMHO.

And, of course, forces don't travel around corners, so sharp jogs in structural members should be avoided as much as possible.
