Non-Aviation: Solar Transit of Venus, June 5. Vintage Motorcycle Days extra capacity
A few non-aviation events for those of you with similar interests...
1. The last solar transit of the planet Venus of our lifetime will be happening for North America June 5th. Be sure to use safe viewing methods. I will be participating with the local Astronomy club at the Cincinnati Observatory starting at 5pm. I will be bringing my long-focus Helioscope and possibly my PST solar telescope, extra solar filters and if time permits my 16" Dob. I am a vendor at the VMD and this year I have way more space than I need. If you have a bike to sell, bring it up and you can use my space for free. However, if you sell the bike I would appreciate a small donation to help cover my vendor costs. Typically, I restore several bikes over the winter to sell at VMD but this year the winter was so mild I spent most of my time riding around with my dog in the side hack rig I bought at VMD last year.
