Default Anyone near Silver Lake Sand Dunes , Michigan?

I will be at Silver Lake Sand Dunes , Memorial weekend. Anyone close by with 2 seat gyro or 2 seat PPC? I would love to fly over the dunes! Unfortunately neither me or my GyroBee are ready anyway , any one interested in taking me , you fly and I'll buy gas and throw in a supper? thanks

Sorry, I grew up there but moved to North Carolina. There's an ultralight airport just South of Hart on US 31. They may be able to help you. BTW, it is an awesome place to fly.

The closest 2 seater gyro to that is probably the Honeybee guys in Hastings Mi.

Default Silver lake sand dunes. Dune scooters, buggies and rails

I farm about 18 minutes NE from Silver Lake. That place is a madhouse for moneydripping gearheads. Some very exotic dune buggies there. Cool stuff. Get ahold of Oceana County Airport (C04) manager Curt Lohman. 231 861 9910. I know that we had a PPC instructor in the area. I think his name is Jerry Austin. Curt will know. Good luck to you. MJD.

I often see PPC's with trikes along the Lake Michigan shoreline up north. I keep "threatening" to trailer my Air Command up home and take pop for a ride. I can't wait to get a 4-cycle motor in place on it so I don't have to worry so much about reliability issues.

rabbit trail............... i all most hate to say this out loud but here goes.... the last post says "reliability issues" with 2 strokes? that really gets me , i have flown lots of hours in lots of different rides with 2 strokes and have never had any issue with them? i see alot of people concerned with a good 2 stroke just because it is a 2 stroke? sorry , and i don't even know why it bothers me but it does? i have flown across the lake to Put in Bay with a 2 stroke and done it in a four stroke...... was no more concerned with one any more than the other? when i finish my GyroBee , i am planning a trip to Put in Bay with that too? i dunno , guess im kinda goofy
