Thanks Mike,
No critique on the plans you kindly sent.
Here is a pix of Dan McAllister's Parsons 2. Seems he decided on the BIG feathers also.
Appreciate your reply,
Chris

Just for the ease of it I've added a download page for this.

http://www.gyroplanevideos.com/File_Downloads.html

The rest of the site needs a major update. I haven't done anything for two years on it so it's time to go back and do an upgrade.

Default Center Line Thrust

The Parson's Two pictured a few messages up brings a question to mind for this yet to fly or ride in a gyro forum member. A problem I hope to soon rectify. In the pictured gyro, any thoughts on how close it/the type in general is to being zero CLT? Or perhaps NCLT?

Hi Glen
I'm not sure. I'll bet one of the pros will know.
If not hopefully one of them can tell us how to make it as close to CLT as possible?

Hi Mike
Tried to download the plans but the site says the monthly bandwidth has been reached, they must be popular!
I've been looking for a set of these for ages.
If anyone could email them to me it would be much appreciated ( I am a bit of an aircraft plans junkie..)

Helipaddy at gmail will work

Thanks

Paddy

You should have it now Paddy, let me know if it didn't come through.

I like collecting plans too, hopefully I'll have many more on my website soon, just have to be careful and make sure they aren't ones being sold by someone, I certainly don't want to step on any toes, just trying to help the community.

We do have a plans upload and download page with about 45+ sets of plans available.

PRA31.org site is down while I transfer it to a new server however a copy exists on http://www.aviomaniausa.com/Plans.aspx

To prevent porn etc from being uploaded it is one of the pages that you must be a member in order to run the program.

If you could send me a copy at JohnRountree at msm dot com I could upload it for you or you could test the program for me and try an upload it yourself.

Hi John,

Thanks for the insights, perhaps we'll both see an answer. As I strive to learn more about Gyro's the CLT questions seems to keep popping up for me.

Glen,
if you search the forums for 'CLT' or it's variants, you will find more threads and opinions (and fact and fallacy) than you hope for. Most all will say that approaching CMass = CThrust provides more stability.

Welcome to your new hobby,
Chris

Chris,

Thank you for the response. As I've said before this group is really supportive of those of us that are new to gyros. You sir are no exception! Thank you.
