I keep a Sig, a Judge, a 12 guage, and my Uzie within reach of my bed all the time. May be I am paranoid or something. Live in the county far off the road, have alarms and cameras also. If I was to see some one coming on my monitors, the audible alarm would be turned off, the door would be unlocked, and I would just sit and wait entry.

LOL you have the same mentality my Rottweilers had! They would let you in...but not too fortunate trying to leave On the other hand it is a lot of cleanup after a headshot......I did promise my wife not to kill anymore so I would probably try to chase them away first....

OK guys I know I shouldn't bring this since there is a lot of guns lovers in this forum and I'm really on the opposite spectrum. But from my point of vue, if guns are not so natural in a culture, and if there is some restrictive laws about possessing them, may be those kind of horror stories wouldn't be so common...

73 times! my God!

WRONG!!! That was the mentality of Hitler when he stripped guns from law obeying citizens and forced them into fascism! You can NOT take the God given right of defending oneself and his or her family from anyone!!! I emphasize CAN NOT!!!! If you do bad things happen. Bad guys by definition don't care about your stupid restrictions and never will. The police response time is never as fast as one's trigger finger. Argue with that! 73 was not enough should have been 7300 bullets ripping that bastard into shreds. Ask the Europeans how they like not having guns and not being able to defend themselves. I know. I grew up there! They don't! Your precious system doesn't work...only bad guys have guns over there! And it is not gun lover but freedom lover!!!

Maybe the story would be different, but the plot might be the same.

Quebec has very tough gun laws and has for some time. As a result, only about 1/3 of murders there are gun-related. That means that the other 2/3 are managed by other methods. The statistical prevalence of murder per total population in any society doesn't change a great deal if you look at long-term trends. There are, of course, swings one way or the other in any population in the short term. Those who like to shout about progress typically bracket their data within periods that support their opinions.

Maher- The criminals just get stronger when the sheeple turn over their rights to keep and bear arms.

We have way too soft of a jail system. They need to be in stockades with food thrown over a fence to them. Let em fight for the food and housing. Maybe they will fight to stay out of jail hell and think before they act again.

Way too many on the government handouts....where they have it too easy....they wouldnt dare work for minimum wage when they can go steal it. TOUGH consequences....but it will never happen with all the limp wristed liberals we have infesting our govenment.

C'on Stan say what ya mean, dont hold back.

Not sure who said it but it goes sorta like this:I lie to no one, no one will lie to me. I Disrespect no one, no one will disrepect me. I harm no one, no one will harm me.
I've staired down the barrel of a gun from a man who felt it gave him POWER to do as he wanted, after a good ole ass whipping he never pulled a gun on anyone again, havta have fingers to do that.

I think every household in America should be required to have one gun per house. Read about Switzerland. What I described is pretty much law there, and they have virtually no gun related crime. Go figure, when your neighbors are armed you don't attack them do you?

Better to have one and not have to use it, than need to use one and not have it.

Let's see. I got a 40 Cal. Glock on the shelf in front of me, a 380 to my left, and two 38 revolvers to my right within reach. And thats only in one room! Needless to say I have made quite a few enemies in the last 27 years. Put many away from a long time, child molesters, burglars, ect. Been threatened many many times. You know what I tell the turds when they say they are coming to my house to pay me a visit? I say, "Please do, me, the wife and my children have something for you!" I always tell my victims to go to a local gun shop, talk to the owner and purchase a weapon for protection. Learn how to handle that weapon. It's better to be judged by six than carried by twelve.
