Default Wife Catching On

After more than three years of flying my wife no longer cries every time I leave the driveway. (She still makes me call when I land). I guess she is catching on, this is what I found in my stocking this year.

That's a great sign Paul ,

Tell your wife she has won the 2011 award for "greatest wife in the gyro world" ....

..... and she should get royalties for all the signs that will be sold in 2012 .... !!!

A few years back, I drove to Bensen Days from Portland, OR and brought back a crated Dominator kit for Todd Powell. The box was the size of my pickup bed, and had one of those signs screwed on one side for fun.

On the long drive back west, I spent many fun hours on the CB radio talking to truckers who spotted the sign, and remembered the old Bensen magazine ads!

It took 3 years for the crying to stop?!!! I haven't soloed yet and the crying has already started! I do have to give my wife credit for trying--she hosted my pra chapters holiday party with style and grace! Someday she might believe me when I tell her that flying gyros can be the safest way to fly. Until then, I'll keep the Kleenex tissues close by.

Maybe she's finally coming around. I have one if those signs, too. Found it on eBay. I carefully removed the overhead stick and added a normal cyclic on mine.

Default I am a Fortunate Husband!

Ed is always encouraging me to fly.

She says I am nicer to be around after flying.

Ed bought me tools for the hangar on my last birthday.

She is working to help pay for Mariah Gale.

Ed loves to fly and take pictures.

She does worry about me and asks me to Spot her when I fly.

I love my Special Ed.

Thank you, Vance
