Default harp guitar

these are called harp guitars.

they have standard tuned/strung strings along with several bass strings and...several "harp strings" suprisingly they dont do to bad with key changes.

Default I had

I had the extreme pleasure of playing on the radio last week with my band River Ramblers for an NPR fund drive last weekend with Andy Hatfield who just won first place in the National Flat Picking contest and third place for Mandolin in Winfield Kansas this year. He was filling in for some of our usual band members that were out of town and couldn't make it.

I tell you honestly that I've never heard such incredible playing as what Andy did last week. He did a couple solos of material that he won the contest with and it was just astounding. And he's such a nice guy too....

he won some cashola and an incredible custom-made guitar by Gallagher guitars.

I'll post the music a soon as I get it copied.

Gerg thanks you for this link.

It would be fun to get everyone on the forum to post their own personal music they make, and share it so we can all hear what each other sounds like. We have a pretty good collection of musicians on here I suspect. How many have been or are currently pros? We have some talent here, all you guys, whether you just play for mom and the kids or you strike up a tune for a paying crowd.

We should all get together at Bensen Days or Mentone or something.

Gabor- I am not a musician at all....I couldnt carry a tune in a wheelbarrow....but I have a good ear. You are something else on the keyboards guy! The more I hang around you, the dummer I become.

At least I am very talented at picking friends who have talent!

Makes me wonder what else you can do that I dont know about.

Wink

I had to pop in one of my favorite guitar players. Reminds me of Roy Buchanon & Jimi Hendrix a bit. I got to meet Steve and hear him play several times. He's not your typical rock n roll guy, he has a family and raises bees for a hobby.
