We continued testing the Kaspar variable pitch propeller.
The new prop is to be certified shortly for Xenon in Poland. The results are very encouraging, even on Xenon2, the school machine SP-XENR. At 5000 rpm it is cruising easily at 140-150kph (90-95mph). Economy cruise at 4400 rpm is 110kph perfect for longer patrol missions. The fuel flow drops to 12 l/h. Also incredible climb performance. There was some crosswind, perfect decrab on flare. ![]() Yours truly PTKay on controls.

Do you know what the cost would be for an upgrade from Xenon? Thanks Doug S. |

Doug,
try to contact Raphael directly. The news from May 2011 says 3.470 EUR. http://www.celieraviation.eu/view/79...ropeller1.html I flew the other Xenon SP-XENF, pictured on this web page and can only confirm, that on boht machines I know now, the numbers quoted on this web page are absolutely realistic. http://www.rotaryforum.com/forum/sho...48&postcount=9 Last edited by PTKay; 10-11-2011 at 10:33 AM. |
