I will sell this as a package or possibly separate if needed.
It is a Yaseu Radio with owners book, Nicad rechargable pack, AA disposable batterys pack and charger cord. And a Red Comtronics - I think??? - helmet with built in headsets. Helmet fits me fine and I have a average sized head. Helmet is in like new shape except for one very small scratch near the front near one of the visor snaps. I think the scratch will rub off with some paint thinner. But otherwise it is a Very nice helmet! And the Patch cord with push to talk switch. Everything you need to protect your head and talk and listen to other traffic while flying your gyro. not sure but think the radio may also have a nav function. Can check into that if it makes a difference. Not sure what to ask for all this. Everything works and is in pretty much like new condition. Asking 300$ for all, or best offer. Trying to fund purchase of a set of Lightspeed ANR headsets for my Piper.

a radio can go from 200 to 300 depend on usage. a helmet is around 260 without patch cord and adapter. SO if no one has pull this from your hand at your asking price they are a fool. Now better put the yaesu on a mount becasue is small to key in numbers in the air if you have them strap to your leg.

Brent I don't know what sized hat I wear, most of the time I wear a one size fits all type hat. The type of helmet this is, unless your head is huge or ittybitty it should fit comfortably. Your close enough Mister Brent to drive over and try it on! Or if you pay for my gas home, I will fly it to you.
I have been offered 225$ for the lot so far. I would like to see if I can get more $$$. I try to price this at a very fair price, but know that as nice as all of it is, like Chuck said, it is probably worth closer to 350-400$. If anyone is interested make me a offer. I will sell it within the next few days to the highest offer I recieve.

Ron,
Be sure and give the Telex Stratus headphones a try before you buy. I fly a Tripacer that's loud enough to sterilize lab rats and the Stratus headset reduced the noise the most. I had a local shop that let me try different headsets out before I bought them and the Stratus was by far the best. Kind of pricey but quieter and more comfortable. Ron,
Yes they are. They have both analog and digital ANR. That's what makes them so much quieter than the others I tested... including the Bose. Curran |

Ron offered them for sale at $250 and I said I would pay that without even looking at them. He messaged back that if I would go $300.00 that he would consider it sold. I said ok, Then I get a message a few hours later that he has changed his mind and was going to sell it to someone else locally.
Not sure about transactions down in SC but up here in Wisconsin people would not do that!! |

Dennis, Sorry I tried to explain what was going on to you on the phone and over email. Your disappointed? I believe I am just as disappointed now that I found out that to replace just the helmet with one without headsets built in it going to cost more than what I sold all of this stuff above for. I was working out a deal with three people on the forum here and one person locally all at the same time. It put me in a pickle - as I told you then ! - on who to decide to close the sale with. I ended up selling it to the first person that showed interest. It was my stuff and my right to sell to whomever I choose. I went out of my way to email and phone you to explain what I was doing. Sorry once again that your disappointed.

Ron,
Skip fast food for a couple of months and they are yours. You'll never be sorry. If I could have back all the money I've wasted buying something cheap and then getting disgusted and buying what I should have bought in the first place I could have the shiny new gyro I want. Besides, it will be good for your gut. Curran |
