Default some questions about my build

Hi I'm a new member of this forum.

I have just purchased a Droidworx CS6 frame and am in the process of buying all the avionics to build the craft. I am new to this and have a few questions.

- I will be using AXI2820/14 motors with 14 inch props. I am wondering what battery configurations you would suggest. What type of batteries and how many? I am intending on using a MK Flight-Ctrl V2.1 ME for the flight controller.

- Would you recomend adding heat syncs to the Flight controller?

- I am thinking about purchasing this radio transmitter with Jeti telemetry http://www.graupner.de/en/products/1...4/product.aspx
Do you think this is a wise purchase. Are there any reasons to spend more money on a better controller?

If you can answer any of these questions or even redirect me to any relevant threads it would be massively appreciated.

Axle

Hi "Ax"....welcome to the forum..!

I'm not sure I can help you, as many of us here are actually Aviators who build/fly full sized machines that we actually strap our butts into.

Not trying to "diss" you...just stating what's of real interest to most here.

I know that maybe some folks work through different flight/build configurations using scaled models using R/C controllers and such...but many here are swinging props from 48" to around 74" and have gasoline engines mounted just a few inches behind their backs to propel them to about 10,000 feet above ground with their hands on the controls.

No doubt each sport enjoys thrills and risks inherent to it...but I think it is apple's and orange's when put side by side and the particulars involved in each.

None the less...the basics of flight are similar but I'll bet few here can answer the detailed questions about controllers and heat sinks since we have no need for them in full scale machines we actually fly.

I don't know if R/C forums relating to Gyro configurations exist...but the World Wide Web is full of a seemingly endless source of information on all things related to any of our deeply held interests.

I'm sorry I really can't be of better help to your particular questions.
