Default I am so excited!!! New engine shipped yesterday.

After forcing my beloved 503 to lug my big butt into the air for about 4 years now, I have decided to give it a rest and move up to a 582.

I found a guy in Florida who calls himself Rotax Rick who put together a 582 with a C box and electric start and who is giving me a decent trade in for the 503.

I got the Fedex tracking number and its expected here today. I can only hope my new one will be as good to me as the trusty 503. Wish me luck.

What a deal Joe, you will love it. Are you going to get Eddie to change it out for you? you know for hangar rent.

Joe- That extra horsepower will almost all be felt in the seat of your pants...minus the little bit for the extra weight of the cooling system and the engine itself.

Good move. My 582 never let me down.

Thanks guys. In the summer the trees at the far end of my runway grow and after watching ed's new climb out rate, I know it will make a big difference.

Ed's not doing the swap, I have a neighbor who needed accounting services for a new aircraft maintenance/sales business and we have an "arrangement".

While I was writing this I looked in on the tracking and its been delivered...dam i want to go home.

Joe,

Ahh..More Power! Arrrrrrr!

"May the force be with you."

Please tell me what it is like not to have to stair-step. I may never know myself, but I can at least live vicariously if enough people remind me what it is like.
