Default Warp Drive 3-Bladed 68" Propeller for Sale

Greetings, this is Michael J. Stump. I am offering the following Warp Drive propeller for sale:

• Condition: Very Good
• Total Time in Service: 88.7 Hours
• Serial Number: N5106
• Weight: Approximately 11 pounds
• Defects: Insignificant leading-edge pitting
• Typical New Price: $745 ($675 Prop + $50 Tax + $20 Shipping)
• Buy-it-Now Price today (via this site): $450 + Shipping

Description: This propeller is an infinitely-ground-adjustable, 68” diameter, three-bladed unit intended for right-hand rotation applications (clockwise rotation when viewed from rear of aircraft looking forward). It may be used in either pusher or tractor applications.

It includes three propeller blades with inlaid nickel leading-edge protection (a Warp Drive additional-cost item that allows the prop to endure years of more extreme operating conditions), two ¼” thick, black-anodized aluminum standard propeller hub plates, six standard nylon half-blade clamp blocks, 12 Grade-8 clamp bolts with washers and new Nylock nuts, and the classic Warp Drive Professional propeller protractor.

The prop hub has a 1” center-hole surrounded by six 8mm diameter holes in a 75mm diameter bolt pattern to fit any Rotax engines’ gearbox (may also fit other manufacturers’ engines; confirm bolt size and pattern to be sure). Prop mounting bolts are not included.

Reason for Selling: This standard Warp Drive propeller was used as a prop load on an engine test cell at a reputable Experimental/Ultralight aircraft maintenance and Rotax engine overhaul facility. This facility has ceased its business operations and is now liquidating its assets.

The propeller blades are constructed of a matrix of high-impact, solid, lightweight, all-carbon-fiber with a billet-aluminum blade root. There are no foams, no fiberglass and no gel coat used in these blades. The structural and practical advantages of a carbon propeller over a fiberglass, wood, or metal three-bladed prop are many, including superior strength, lightweight, enhanced durability and a significantly longer service life. This space-age material resists erosion from dust, light water spray, or other particle debris. And, the Warp Drive prop actually weighs less than similar style hardwood 3-bladed props, which greatly extends the operating life when compared to regular hardwood units that often use heavy castings at the prop hub.

The construction of Warp Drive's blades allows for simple repair of nicks and gouges that may occasionally occur. In the event one blade was ever damaged beyond repair, the blades are individually replaceable.

The design of the Warp Drive Professional Protractor is based on the propeller protractor used by professionals. This protractor is also useful for a number of other functions like adjusting wing wash-out, ailerons, tail surfaces, and, of course, propeller blades (even on other manufacturer’s ground-adjustable props!).

Warp Drive offers various sizes of optional polished aluminum cap spinners and full fiberglass spinners, which totally enclose the hubs (not included). And, Warp Drive props can be trimmed down to smaller length specifications at the Warp Drive factory. Contact Warp Drive for blade trimming, spinners, or other details if desired at (515) 357-6000.

Exact shipping costs will be calculated at time of sale and will not be raised above normal UPS rates for this size and weight of item. Insurance of item during shipping is recommended. Personal checks will be accepted but must clear bank before shipping. Money orders also accepted.

If you are interested in owning this item, there are two methods you may use to acquire it:

You can buy it directly by sending me an email expressing your interest. I can be reached at mse4bpo2@hotmail.com. Feel free to ask any additional questions about the propeller you may have. I will also send you (via email) a handful of digital pictures of the unit for your examination.

The other option is via eBay auction at www.ebay.com. This items’ auction begins Saturday, November 20 at 3:15pm Pacific time. The minimum bid is set at $450 with a Buy-it-Now price of $495. Users of this forum save $45 by using the direct method (contact me by email). If the item sells directly via email, the eBay auction will be withdrawn. This is the lowest-cost approach to owning this item. Total savings over a unit ordered directly from the manufacturer is $295.

There are two simple ways of finding the item on eBay if you elect to enter the auction. You may go to eBay and search by the item number, which is 4505845775, or you can search by seller. Do this by going to www.ebay.com. Then, under Specialty Sites, click eBay Motors. Click Aviation under Parts and Accessories. Click Parts under the Aviation parts Category. Click the Advanced Search link. Click the By Seller tab. In the Seller User ID field, type "rtkendig" (without the quotation marks), and then click the Search button. The item will appear (but not until after the start of auction tomorrow).

I hope to hear from you soon. Best regards, Michael J. Stump.
