Default Prince "P-Tip" Gyroplane Propeller for Sale

Greetings, this is Michael J. Stump. I am offering the following Prince Aircraft Gyroplane Propeller for sale:

• Condition: New/Excellent
• Total Time in Service: 0.8 Hours
• Serial Number: 5052P70BP47K
• Weight: Approximately 11 pounds including crush plate
• Defects: None
• TBO: None (unlimited life)
• Typical New Price: $1175 ($1050 Prop & Crush Plate + $75 Tax + $50 Shipping with a lead time of 3-6 months)
• “Buy it Now” Price today (via this site): $750 + Shipping

This propeller is a fixed-pitch, two-bladed unit. Dimensions are 70” long x 48” pitch, with a six-layer composite covering (an additional cost option) with a beautiful high-gloss black paint finish (two-part urethane machine-buffed, another additional cost option). It was designed for left-hand rotation (counterclockwise when viewed from the rear of the aircraft looking forward) in a pusher application.

The propeller hub is designed around the industry-standard SAE1 propeller flange. The hub is 3 1/16” thick, has a 2 1/4” diameter x 1” deep centering boss, surrounded by six 3/8” diameter mounting bolt holes in a 4 3/8” bolt pattern for use with or without drive lugs. Lug counterbores are ½” diameter by Ύ” deep.

The propeller was initially designed to operate on a engine of approximately 130 horsepower (in this case a Subaru Legacy achieving redline rpm of approximately 5450 rpm) with a 2.1:1 reduction drive (for example, an RAF 2000 gyroplane reduction drive or equivalent), and at airspeeds less than 100 mph, however, it may be used on similar applications. It includes a 3/8” thick x 6” diameter black anodized aluminum crush plate, but mounting bolts are not included.

This Prince P-Tip propeller is manufactured from laminated hard rock maple and then enhanced with six layers of composite covering, providing performance that is unmatched by any other propeller on the market. It contains no foams or cheap fillers.

Reason for Selling: This propeller was purchased by a highly- respected California Experimental and Ultralight aircraft maintenance and gyroplane flight instruction facility. They maximized the performance of their two-place, Subaru Legacy-powered gyroplane. The facility has since ceased its business operations and is now liquidating its assets.

This propeller was test-flown in the traffic pattern for slightly less than 1 hour on the side-by-side two-seat gyroplane. It was confirmed to significantly outperform all other typical propellers and with far less noise than all other types normally used in the gyroplane community. In fact, the performance was so outstanding that when the aircraft was sold soon after the test, it was sold with its original Warp Drive three-bladed unit so that this Prince unit could be retained for the next two-seat gyroplane, slated to be built.

Prince propellers are in very high demand and can take many months to acquire after an order is placed with their company. This is due to the very extensive manufacturing and quality control processes needed for such high-precision propellers. As such, there is a wait list due to the first-come, first-served nature of propeller orders processed in their factory, yet this particular prop is ready-to-go today.

Exact shipping costs will be calculated at time of sale and will not be raised above normal UPS rates for this size and weight of item. Insurance of item during shipping is recommended. Personal checks will be accepted but must clear bank before shipping. Money orders also accepted.

If you are interested in owning this item, there are two methods you may use to acquire it:

You can buy it directly by sending me an email expressing your interest. I can be reached at mse4bpo2@hotmail.com. Feel free to ask any additional questions about the propeller you may have. I will also send you (via email) a handful of digital pictures of the unit for your examination.

The other option is via eBay auction at www.ebay.com. This items’ auction begins Saturday, November 20 at 3:00pm Pacific time. The minimum bid is set at $750 with a Buy-it-Now price of $795. Users of this forum save $45 by using the direct method (contact me by email). If the item sells directly via email, the eBay auction will be withdrawn. This is the lowest-cost approach to owning this item. Total savings over a unit ordered directly from the manufacturer exceeds $300, and without the extensive waiting period.

There are two simple ways of finding the item on eBay if you elect to enter the auction. You may go to eBay and search by the item number, which is 4505824323, or you can search by seller. Do this by going to www.ebay.com. Then, under Specialty Sites, click eBay Motors. Click Aviation under Parts and Accessories. Click Parts under the Aviation parts Category. Click the Advanced Search link. Click the By Seller tab. In the Seller User ID field, type "rtkendig" (without the quotation marks), and then click the Search button. The item will appear (but only after the start of auction tomorrow).

I hope to hear from you soon. Best regards, Michael J. Stump.
