I thought I'd take a minute to start this new forum off. Maybe give a little example.

Here's a little bio:

I've been flying for about 5 years. Finished up my fixed wing private license in July of 1999. Since then I've flown about 400 fixed wing hours and added my instrument rating a couple years ago.

Shortly after getting my private license I saw an article in popular mechanics about Ken Brock. That got me interested in Gyro's and I've been hooked ever since. I purchased a disassembled dominator down in Florida a couple years ago which I brought back to Spokane and spent the next 5 months building. I made a couple trips South, one to Bensen Days in Wauchula and another to Aiken for ROC where I received training. I've been flying my gyro for almost a year now and there isn't anything more fun in my opinion.

I have a wife - Shannon who is pretty understanding about my flying addiction but not terribly interested in it. She does her things, I do mine. I also have 4 daughters who think I'm nuts to fly that "thing".

I've been running the Rotary Wing Forum for exactly 1 year and 4 days. Its been alot of fun and I enjoy reading the forum nearly every day.
