Mentone Event: Breakfast Flights To Rochester Airport
Traditionally many pilots fly to Breakfast at Rochester Airport (KRCR - Fulton County Airport (7 nm SW))
http://www.airnav.com/airport/KRCR KRCR is nice and close so even UL and small single place gyros have the range to make the flight and it is far enough away to be a fun little cross country. Departure time is 20 minutes after the morning Pilot Briefing. If anyone does not have a GPS and wishes to follow someone over, see me when the flight briefing ends. Everyone is welcome. The restaurant is not quite on airport grounds. Typically, some pilots take the airport courtesy car, others walk.

When I got to Mentone I inquired about Karen's and was told that it wasn't as good as it was before. Well, my 'Show me' state heritage took over and I checked it out. Unless my memory is really going bad, I couldn't see that it was any different than before; terrible place to find healthy food! But, boy is it good and plentiful! I've never been able to eat all they serve when ordering from the menu and of course the breakfast buffet is outstanding. Like Ron says, this place is worth the trip by itself.
