Default Good News

The news is good for me anyway. I just received my airplane commercial certificate! I took and passed my checkride last Saturday.

I've changed the order of my plans to hopefully help me generate some additional income for myself.

I'm getting my airplane CFI first then my heli. The school that will give me the heli CFI job uses R-22's so I need a minimum 200 hours of heli time in order to instruct in the 22.

So with any luck I'll have my airplane CFI in a few weeks!

Good going Kandace Congratulations. I hope you get to fly off that 200 hours of R22 time. Phewwwwwww. That's a lot of dough. But you can do it!

Kandace- Congratulations! You sure are an achiever. I have one big disagreement with you on "luck" being a factor. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity. You have been preparing , the opportunity arises, and you seize it. Sure, sometimes we all get lucky at whatever we do, but the achievers rely more on preparation than luck. Good for you making your own "luck". You are a good example to all of us. Stan

Kandace, that's terrific! If you reach the point at which you're current in everything you're rated to instruct, including helicopter and one day maybe even gyroplane, you'll be much more successful at keeping your calendar full, and enjoy more variety, too.

Women qualified to instruct in R22s stay very busy some places, simply because they're usually lighter than guys, leaving more of the 22's limited payload available for the growing number of heavy prospective students!
