Default Koolprop?

Has anybody had experience with the Koolprop?
Dose it live up to it's claims of more thrust and less noise than the more conventional props?

Any help with feedback is appreciated please.

Graeme.

Question

I too would be interested to know....head to head against an old favorite of many, a Warp Drive.
Let's say bolted to a 170hp...PSRU of 2.5...seeking thrust of 600lbs. static.

The promise of the Kool prop is lighter, lower moment of inertia, better thrust, quieter. All good qualities if truly delivered by the item.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE (direct or otherwise) THEY CAN SHARE...?

Now while I understand that a Warp is heavier with a high moment of inertia (the Kool being lighter) it is my view (from the sidelines over 20 years) that Warp has proven itself as a "battle" hardened survivor, without the attendant splitting and fraying some composites suffer.

Your views of fact or opinion are appreciated.

Graeme

The Koolprop is going to be based on the same facts as the Prince "P" tip , with the main improvements coming from the reduced vorticies from the tip which improve the noise ( lost efficiency ) and equals the equivalant of about 1 inch more length on the blades, and Yes the "P" tip is more efficient and less noise but it is EXPENSIVE, but may not be as durable as a Warp

I used a Kool Prop on my White Dominator after I purchased it from Ron Awad. I went from a 60" to a 63.5" or something like that. The Kool Prop gave me MUCH faster throttle response and was much quieter and had less vibration. I could tell that I had improved thrust characteristics as well. I would say that it was a wise purchase for me to install on my Dominator.... I think I had a thread on it at some point here for a comparison. I give it two thumbs up.

Thank You "MrGrey" for sharing your first hand experience.
Every little bit of info. helps greatly in weighing performance value vs. cost.
