I am wondering about this since I'm a smaller dude (5'-6", 145lbs), should I raise my seat position so that I have a better center of gravity and a better centerline thrust? If so can you give me an idea of how much? I figure I better ask now before I put the seat on and find out that I should have...

Kevin,
The GyroBee is already within 2" of being CLT in its current configuration with a hefty pilot. And since you and I are fairly light guys, that moves the VCG even closer to CLT. Based on the safety record of the stock design across the board, I'd suggest leaving the seat location as designed.
