Default Illinois earthquake

Hey Stan,

Did you feel the 4.5 magnitude quake this morning? Or were you too far south? Says it was 50 miles West-Northwest of Chicago...

Its the same thing with a drunk driver trying to walk the line for the cop. If an earthquake occurs right then,,,he will stay right on that line.

Woke me up. Had the dog barking.

Got a frantic call from my daughter wondering what to do. I told her to just go back to sleep, it was a minor earth quake.

In California, we get suspicious of ground that just sits there without moving. It's just spooky and weird.

I have felt a few trimmers when we lived in Japan. I do remember how it felt back then, I think I was about 11 I ask my father if Mt. Fuji was going to blow up...... Since then I have only felt 1 here in South Carolina in the 28 years of being here.

The earth must be going through some changes in life......

We had a reasonable one in Kenya that put a big crack in the bedroom wall, wife tried to wake me but did not succeed, the earthquake didn't stand a chance.

I remember when I was about 15 years old living in Joliet Il. We had a small quake. You could barley feel it, It made the windows rattle a bit. I thought someone was trying to open the window to break in. That was about 38 years ago.

What amazed me is how common earth quakes are. Here is a map showing just the last weeks activity.
