I have a bunch of photos from my gyro build that I would like to post here.
Is there a problem with overloading this server or is it ok? Thanks Dennis |

I personally would love to see them. You can't overload the server LOL

You can always post them on a site like photobucket or flickr and then embed them here.

There is a sticky thread in the photos section explaining, how to best reduce pictures in size in order to include them here. If you go on Flickr, you don't have to reduce them in size.

Dennis, if you'd like to post them full-size, we'll host 'em on www.utahrotorcraft.org. Then, all you need to show them on the forum is the URLs of the individual pictures desired.
Besides - I'd love to see 'em! I'll need a little time to figure out how to make the thumbnail display function work to get them to show in our photo gallery, but you'd be able to link them here right away. |

Thanks for the advice.
I up loaded all of the picts to Photobucket, but they didn't stay in order and the text was also missing. I think I'll try a few here and see what happens. |

The first shots are of the test frame that I built to estimate where it would balance and to visualize what I was doing.
The second set is testing components, different airbags, engine mount, mast mount..... |

What material do you use for the structural frame?

I designed most of the parts on a simple wireframe CAD program.
Some of the parts that were made out of plate steel could be printed out to scale then glued onto the steel itself, then cut out by hand on a band saw. It's not that hard to get within several thousandths by carefully belt sanding up to the printed lines. Critical dimensioning was done on the mill or lathe. Nose gear sub assembly. |
