OK, gotta ask...is it 105HP or 110HP? Has any Hirth ever reached 1,000 hours?
Are the claims of "extremely reliable" and "just as fuel efficient as a 4 cycle" consistent with anyone's experience with these engines? |

Paul and everyone
1. I didnt make the ad. The fellow listed did and he is an authorized Hirth and Rotax repair shop. He did the rebuild and I know he went all the way down into it. 2. Whether anyone has ever made 1000 hours is old news. We have been down this road before. 3. The discrepancy is that the engine is listed as a 110hp by the MFGR... when it is fitted with the cooling fans as this one is, it eats 5hp. You are not going to buy it but are just stirring the pot yes?

Five, I knew it wasn't yours.
Stirring slightly, yes. 120 - 5 + 115; he calls it both 110 and 105 at various points in the ad. His other claims seem to be exceptional. I have no first-hand knowledge of this engine. My only point was in posting was to encourage anyone to dig a little before bidding. |

Paul
That IS my old engine. The fellow repaired it and he is more than qualified and as I said is an authorized repair station. The mistake is mine. I should have written its listed as 110 hp - 5 for cooling fans = 105hp. I have corrected the misstatement error in the post above these last few. If someone wants a low time babied (by me) rebuilt from the ground up 105 (effectively) HP 2 stroke that has an almost 1:1 weight to hp ration.... here is one. Thats my entire pitch and full disclosure.
