Default My New Lathe

I wanted to buy an american lathe, but this one will have to do for now. I found it used on craigslist for less than half the price of new. It's a grizzly 12'' x 39'' lathe/mill/drill. The milling head swings out of the way from the lathe.
It also came with a T slot clamp set, full set of end mills, quick change tool post with all of the holders/boring bar/parting tool.

just make sure you keep in adjusted and clean and it will do ya a fine job.

Hey Brad

Great find, just found a deal on a Grizzly myself, live in Miami Oklahoma, about 80 miles from Springfield, Mo where Grzzly is. found a man that has a deal with Grizzly to buy freight damage machines from them. Got a freight damage rebuild 12 x 36 4003g gunsmith version for 1500 and when I went to pick it up he had just got a Shopfox mill in to rebuild and I nailed it for 1500 when it is done, get it in maybe another week.
only have one year experience in a machine shop but can make a few shavings, so have already started making parts for the main landing gear.

Some great buys on E-bay and craigslist but here in the mid-west most of the buys are on the coast and in the South and the freight is a killer plus the possibility of damage, also a lot of buys in the north but same situation.

Most of what you find on E-bay is from some used machinery company and "they" got the deal.
