Default Suddenly senior

It took 48 years for all classmates to meet again. Last Saturday was the great day. Most pupils from the sixth class ground school, gathered for first time after 48 years….. It was not easy to organize and invite everybody because many had left to Europe after ground school. Some other left to America and Canada, Australia.
I had some difficulties to recognize some of them. I had been thinking that we all looked pretty good. Most all of my classmates were fit. Some even had hair….
Some of our teachers managed to come to the party too (with some help.) I must say that nobody could hide their emotions and for me it was very extra sensitive. My teacher presented me a very old morning newspaper and on the front page with a photo with me and my first built gyro and with big titles…. (.The first Cyprus Daedalos. His first flight was impressive.)
Whole evening was spend with good old memory talks, jokes and with a commitment to our teachers that we will keep the Spirit they gave us alive.
Suddenly you feel senior……

I grow faint just thinking of the place and people where you live. The history overwhelms my senses. Thank you for sharing.

Great stuff! This week my old Geography teacher (yeah blame her) turned 90 y/0 and very much on top of her game.
Lots of old faces (some really old) showed up and no way to hold back tears.
It is a good thing to see most of our group alive and well. Very little deaths and some teacher are still here. God bless them.
